What we do
Business energy is harder to judge than energy at home. There's no price cap, contracts can roll over onto higher rates, and bills carry charges that are easy to skim past. We built Energybench to help business owners see where they stand before their contract renews.
Our free check looks at your rates, standing charges and contract terms against today's market. A specialist from Assured Energy, our energy procurement partner, then rings to talk you through what we found. There's no obligation to switch, and if your current deal is already a good one, they'll tell you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell energy or water, and we don't arrange contracts ourselves.
- We don't charge you for the check.
- We never sell your details.
How we're paid
We introduce businesses to Assured Energy. If you switch through Assured Energy, it pays our fee. You never pay Energybench anything directly.
Any commission Assured Energy earns from your new supplier is included in your contract's prices and shown in its main terms, so you can see it before you agree. As with any broker, you can ask Assured Energy how it's paid, and how much, at any point. If you don't switch, there's nothing to pay.
Who Assured Energy is
Assured Energy is an energy procurement company that helps businesses arrange their energy contracts. Its specialists make the call after you ask for a check, go through your results with you and, if you decide to go ahead, arrange a new contract with a supplier.
Our guides
Our guides explain business energy in plain English. We write them from official sources, such as Ofgem, HMRC and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, list those sources at the end of each guide, and show the date we last checked it.
Your details
When you ask for a check, we pass your details to Assured Energy so their specialist can call you. We never sell them. Our privacy notice explains what we collect, how long we keep it and your rights.
